The Refuge Pregnancy & Resource Center’s annual baby bottle campaign begins today. Pick up a baby bottle in the narthex and drop your change in it for the next month. On Father’s Day, June 16th, all bottles and money should be returned to the church to be collected by the center. There is a list for you to write your name and telephone number next to the bottle you have taken.
Lent begins on March 6th, the season of preparation. We will have services of Holy Communion and Imposition of Ashes at 12:00 PM and at 7:00 PM.
During the subsequent Wednesdays in Lent, there will be a soup and sandwich meal at 6:00 PMfollowed by our Lenten worship – Holden Evening Prayer at 7:00 PM. Please join us!
The Souper Bowl of Caring began in 1990 with a simple prayer from a single youth group“Lord, as we enjoy the Super Bowl football game, help us to be mindful of those without even a bowl of soup to eat.” More than $110 million has been raised for local charities across the country through Super Bowl of Caring. So far in 2019, 568 groups have participated and $3,911,243 has been raised. We will be collecting donations ($1.00 and a can of soup or Chili) before our 10:00 AM worship service. All proceeds will go directly to the Rockdale Food Bank. If you would like to read more about this event visit www.souperbowl.org Â
