SUNDAY MORNING ADULT CLASS: Join us as we continue our alternating series of classes at 9 a.m. in the Fellowship Hall on: (1) Contradictions in the Bible – What do we do when passages do not line up? and (2) The Not-So-Minor Prophets – An overview of the last twelve books of the Old Testament. This series will continue into the coming school year.
MEN’S BIBLE STUDY: Men’s Bible Study meets weekly on Thursday mornings at 8:00 a.m. at the church in the fellowship hall.
WOMEN’S BIBLE STUDY: The Women’s Bible Study this year will meet on the 1st and 3rd Tuesdays of each month at 9:30am and will be studying Luther’s Small Catechism. Come join us as we learn about our Lutheran faith.
REFORMATION SUNDAY: Don’t forget to wear red on Reformation Sunday – October 27th!
OCTOBERFEST: In honor of Oktoberfest, we will be having a German-themed potluck on Sunday, October 27th after the 10:00 service. Brats, hotdogs and buns will be provided. Bring a dish that harmonizes with the overall fall/harvest theme. We need side dishes, salads, and desserts. A freewill offering will be taken to cover the cost of the brats.
ALL SAINTS SUNDAY: We are going to put out luminaries for the All Saints celebration. We have found plastic bags and candles with timers so they can be displayed for a week starting Wednesday, October 30 through Wednesday, November 6. There will be bags and markers on the table in the Narthex so you can start to remember your loved ones. There will also be information to order supplies and a box for donations if you would like us to order them. If you have questions, please see Riki DeLamar or Evelyn Brown.
INTENT SUNDAY will be Sunday, November 10. Our appeal this year again focuses on our core value of ENTHUSIASTIC GENEROSITY. We call our generosity enthusiastic, because of the joy that overflows into our lives as we give. We have more than enough to share. Over the coming weeks, we will hear stories of how our giving impacts people and groups around us. We live in the hope for an even more robust ministry next year. Prayerfully consider how you will share of God’s abundance. Pray about how you can be more generous. On Intent Sunday, November 10, bring your intent card to declare your generosity with us.
