We recognize God’s community leads us outside these walls. It is about our families, our neighborhoods, our schools, our work places, our county, our state, our nation, and our world. God’s community includes the homeless, the immigrant, the Muslim, the atheist. God’s community includes the friend and the stranger.
Our vision means that we ask ourselves as a church how what we do is helping us move toward that vision. Does it bring us closer to reach God’s community? If yes, then we claim it and move forward. If not, then we reject it and push it aside.
